Born in 1995, I grew up in a small town in Sweden called Motala, by Lake Vättern, in a golfing family. Both my parents plays the game (my mother was part of the winning Swedish Women's Youth European Team Championship in Sicily, Italy in the '70s) as well as my grandparents so naturally, it didn't take long until I first got my hands on a golf club at only 1 1/2 years old.
My parents like to recall that I was so in love with the game from that young age that whenever they felt like it would be fun to maybe play by themselves for a change, they had to sneak out carefully from our home so that I didn't catch them as the only place I wanted to be was the golf course. Other than the few couple days they may have "succeeded", it is safe to say that the golf course has been a second home for me ever since.
I began competing at 9 years old in junior tournaments in Sweden and at 15 years old I began to get selected for camps with the Swedish Golf Team. At 16 I got accepted as one of 5 guys to the National High School for Golf (RIG) in Ljungbyhed, Skåne. I spent 3 great years there of combining golf with studies under coaches Hans Larsson, Lars Hägglund, and Camilla Bryngelsson to set me up for the next step in my career, college golf.
In college, I had the opportunity to get to play under coach Michael Carlisle at the University of South Carolina - Aiken (USCA) for four years. A great time in many ways and an important step in my career highlighted by an individual title my freshman year and ending up one shot short of breaking PGA Tour player and fellow USCA alumni Scott Brown´s single-season scoring record my senior year. GO PACERS!
Beginning in June 2018, I turned for new challenges as I turned professional and began my journey out in the world to reach the big stages in golf. Follow my journey and life here as I try to accomplish these goals!
